Step 3. Publishing Your Website on Custom domain

Step 1: Setting Up DNS

Setting Up a Type A Record

Imagine you're giving your website an address so that visitors can find it easily. This is where the Type A Record comes into play.

What You Need

● Access to your DNS provider (the service where you registered your domain name).

The Steps

1. Log in to Your DNS Provider (e.g., www.godaddy.com,www.namecheap.com)

● Open your web browser and go to your DNS provider's website. Log in with your

credentials.

2. Find the DNS Management Section

● Once you're logged in, navigate to the DNS management area. This might be

under settings, domains, or a similar section.

3. Create a Type A Record

● Look for an option to add a new record. This could be a button labeled “Add Record” or “Create New Record”

4. Enter the Following Details:

Type: A

Name: @

■ This symbol represents the root domain (yourwebsite.com).

Value (IP Address): 45.32.157.183

■ This is like the GPS coordinates for your website.

TTL (Time to Live): 600

■ This tells the internet how long to cache the information before checking

for updates.

5. Save the Record

● After filling in the details, click the “Save” button to store your new Type A Record.

And just like that, you've set up your Type A Record!

Step 2: Setting Up NS Records

On the same DNS management page,

1. Create 2 New records

● Look for an option to add a new record. This could be a button labeled “Add Record” or “Create New Record”

Enter the first record with following details:

Type: NS

Name: @

Value (IP Address): ns1.vultr.com

TTL (Time to Live): 600

After filling in the details, click the “Save” button to store your new NS records.

Enter the second record with following details:

Type: NS

Name: @

Value (IP Address): ns2.vultr.com

TTL (Time to Live): 600

After filling in the details, click the “Save” button to store your new NS records.

Great job! You've set up your NS records, which means your domain is now pointing to the correct DNS servers.

Step 3: Accessing the Domain Settings

To set up your custom domain, we'll need to navigate to the domain settings in your dashboard.

Go to Your Dashboard

● From Trendifyweb.ai main page, navigate to your dashboard. This is typically found in the top menu.

Find the Domains Section

● Look for a section labeled “Domains” Click on it to open the domain

management area.

Locate the Custom domain Tab

● Inside the domain management area, you’ll see two tabs: “Custom Domain” and

“Custom Subdomain” Click on “Custom domain

● You’ll see a field where you can type your domain (e.g., example.com). Do not type "www"

● Once you enter the domain click the “Add Domain” button to make your website

live on the custom domain.(eg., example.com)

● Complete step 4 to make your website secure by generating SSL certificate.

Step 4: Generating an SSL Certificate

Now that your website has an address, let's make it secure with an SSL certificate. This ensures that data sent between your website and visitors is encrypted, keeping it safe.

Click on "Generate"

● There should be a button or link that says “Generate” Click on it.

● Be patient! It might take a few minutes for the SSL certificate to be fully set up and

active.

Congratulations! You've successfully set up DNS and SSL for your website. Your site is now not only easy to find but also secure for your visitors.
